On August 23rd, 2024, the first revision drafting meeting of GB/T 18835 “Grain Cooler” was successfully held in Hefei by the National Standardization Technical Committee for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Equipment (SAC/TC 238).

This meeting was jointly sponsored by the National Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Equipment Standardization Technical Committee and the China Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry Association, Hefei General Mechanical and Electrical Products Testing Institute Co. Ltd. hosted by the National Cold Standard Committee, Deputy Secretary General of the Ma Jinping presided over the drafting meeting, Zhejiang Qingfeng Environment Co. Ltd. and other manufacturers, universities, scientific research institutions, more than 20 experts on behalf of the participation of representatives.

Grain cooler is an important equipment to ensure food security storage process, the revision of the standard, on the one hand, with the development of China's grain storage technology to promote the quality of equipment to improve, on the other hand, to further improve China's grain storage refrigeration equipment standard system. This meeting in Hefei mainly focuses on the scope of application of the standard, product classification, test conditions, new technical requirements, energy efficiency evaluation index system and limit values, etc. in-depth discussions, and reached a preliminary consensus.
